Continued from Part 1

The second accomplishment I want to deal with is the Kibbutz Galuyot, the return of the exiles.


Germany, Poland, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Morroco, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Russia, Ethiopa, France. So many communities which moved to Israel, some quickly, some are still slowly moving there.
When the state of Israel was created, it had 600 000 Jews. Today, it has over 5.3 million Jews! This is not only one of the greatest accomplishments of the state of Israel but also, probably, the greatest miracle God has ever accomplished.

One of the Rabbis I know once told us:
You know, when Jews left Egypt, it was a great Miracle. God took out one nation of 600 000 people, from one country after 210 year of exile.
But think about, in our generation, God took out one nation of millions of people, from hundreds of countries after 2000 years of exile!

Many people think that since it happens through natural means, it is not as great of a miracle. However, those people are simply blinded by what they see since God also controls the natural.

There is, of course, the famous story of the Jews of Yemen who saw planes coming to pick them up. Since they had never seen planes before, they started screaming “Al Kanfei Nesharim” – On wings of Eagles, expressing the fact that the biblical prophecy was finally being fulfilled!

This is truly the greatest miracle of history, a miracle everyone should year to become an active part of.

Regardless, whether we consider it Godly or natural, it is definitely one of the greatest accomplishments of the state of Israel.
