Next year in Yerushalayim! — Pesach Haggadah

Saddened but not Terrorised
Dan Illouz

This post is a little blunt. However, as Rav Kook said in Orot, acts of war often bring a lot of clarity. With clarity, you realize that being politically correct is often less important than just saying the truth.

We all know what the goals of terrorists are: to break our spirit, terrorise us, make us stop fighting for our cause.

Unfortunately for them, their tactics will not work!

Yes, every terrorist attack is painful. Yes, every terrorist attack makes me depressed. Yes, every terrorist attack annoys me. I can’t imagine what they do to the families of the victims.

However, “the eternal nation is not afraid of the long road”. We will not stop moving forward towards our ultimate goal. You can try and throw everything you’ve got at us, but we’ll keep moving forward.

We will, ultimately, succeed in building a holy nation on the holy land, a model of a moral society which will continue to bring good to the whole entire world.

Nothing you can do will stop us. Anything you try will only make us more determined, it will only make us stronger.

May God send a speedy recovery to all the victims of today’s terrorist attack
